ATL#7 Stone Harvest (about to be mushrooms harvest too)
    #16770193 - 09/01/12 08:41 AM (12 years, 4 months ago)

HArvested 34 grams fresh from 2 qts of White Millet. These were inoculated 8/5 so I picked through them a month early for the sake of science and Itchy Finger Syndrome. I have several more that I will leave til 60 (and 90) days to compare potency.

It was a mellow trip, made tea and split the dose 3 ways.

Just wanted to share some pictures for now as this is my first truffle grow and I'm excited.

Yes I have Green Bay Packer Ducktape on my tubs:awehigh:

You will see it when they fruit :P

Make some seed jars and have them ready to go when you are going to harvest your 60 days jars.  Take a spoonful from your old jars and transfer them to the new ones to get them started faster.  Use a glovebox, it's lazy and simple.

I have a GLC of the atl made. G2g with 60 day old grain freaks me out a little bit.

I cant find the damn hole saws for my drill to make arm holes for a GB either.

Maybe I need to check ACE HARDWARE up the street. (Should be called mushroom hardware) Place is the bomb

Why does it G2G freak you out?  A GLC is good enough, so no need to G2G anyhow.

I have read that some people take coffee cans and heat the edges of the coffee can creating a really hot ring and then press them against the box in order to create the arm hole.  Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area.  Don't get the can too hot, you only want to melt the plastic not warp it.

A whole saw that size would probably run you some $$ and you really wouldn't get enough use to justify the expense.  If you are looking for a reason to buy a tool, but a Dremel Tool.  I got mine in a pawn store for $20.

I have no problem buying one, it will come in handy.. I just have not found one yet anywhere I looked...

The coffee can thing is a good Idea I do have a propane torch for smoking Hash Oil....could heat it up and try that on the porch if I cant find the correct tool attachment at ACE

34 fresh:aweyeah: They could have been a bit stronger which is why you should leave em 60 days I guess but we also split the dose 3 ways (made tea with all 34 grams fresh chopped up and divided the liquid amongst 3 people)

Straight grain cased tubs have their first primordia of atl mushrooms growing. Cant wait to see em tomorrow. Stones are growing nicely in the jars on some grain yet, and my atl tubs on manure/compost/coffee are colonized and should be fruiting soon along with some other cube trays/tubs.

Ill take pics tomorrow its gonna be :aweyeah: here in a few weeks
