White, squishy, lumps? Myc. or contam?

Hey everyone. I just have a quick question about what these lumps are. They are a very fine white, not grayish like cobweb. Squishy to the touch, and seem to be spreading by the day. I plucked one off last night and they are very squishy, not knots. Is this just mycelium? It's mostly on this BRF cake. The other two in the FC have it but not near as much. The other cakes are better covered in vermiculite, if that makes a difference.

I was just about to edit that fact into my previous post, actually. They smell fine, very fresh mushroom smell. Is there a specific reason its doing that? Too much/little fanning and/or misting? Or is it alright? I fan and mist 3 times a day. Humidity seems fine, beads of water on the sides of the SGFC most of the time. I think I'm going to pick up a hygrometer today for reassurance, however.

When you dunk and roll, they should be totally covered in verm, which creates the microclimate needed for pinning. These just seem to have very agressive myc that is reaching for stuff to grow onto. Might be some hyphal knotting as well.
Just keep 'em in the FC. How long have they been in there? Pins can sometimes take a bit. Patience.

Yup, that's just myc reaching for air. Fan more.

4 days now, if I'm not mistaking. My other two cakes are pinning very nicely. Maybe 15 on each, and new ones pop up every day. Those two are GT's, the one in the picture is the "creeper strain," if you will. The GT's seem to have performed way better the whole way through, from colonization to pinning. The verm is a lot thicker on the GT cakes as well. I'm not sure why it didn't stick to the creeper one. Quote:

Will do! Thank you. Guess I'll aim for 4 times a day and see if anything changes.

Indeed. They still have a few days yet before things start to go into the wrong. Hopefully the genetics aren't utter crap (which can happen.) Good news on the other two cakes! Be sure to spore print!
