If its already turned green, odds are its already exploded spores all over. You could set it outside, weather permitting. Or bury it in a good spot.
Ditch it after you harvest.

I like to trash everything if I have green mold. Thoroughly cleaning a tub isnt worth the 10 bucks to buy a new one.

Pretty much. The mold can grow into the areas of the substrate with mushroom mycelium. You won't see it there because it's some of it is microscopic and it looks a lot of mycelium anyway but eventually it will start popping up all over even if you remove all the visible mold.

If you have a big nesco cooker I would suggest using that for pasteurization. It works great.
What size Nesco do you use. This one?

This is what I use. Actual model is a Rival Roaster Oven 18quart. Most start at 200 degrees this one starts at 150 degrees so be sure to look for that if picking one up. Might even find at a goodwill or something on that order. I bought this one between thanksgiving and christmas a year or 2 back and it was on sale. Searched amazon for you and found them starting at 21.99

Allow me to chime my two cents....
Coir and verm are extremely contaminate resistant, enough so that I can say that 99% of the time if it does get trich it's from the spawn or the tub was left exposed (Not properly covered)
Although, in some rare cases it can be attributed to a above normal mold count in the grow room....In such cases, its best to just move.
With that said...

If its got the little yellow frog on it and the brand is called Eko Terra, good stuff, I use it. Most all reptile centers carry the same brand.
The other awesome thing about coir/verm is that you can bring it to perfect feild capacity by pre-measuring the amount of water prior to boiling, its what I do. No need to squeeze dry or anything like that..... It should have worked for you op, pasteurizing on the stove can get messy if it over boils, pasteurizing in the monotub is much more simple then fumbling around with pillow cases or burlap bags too (although the burlap bags are awesome for manure)
Try again op, it was not your procedure.
