I do. Don't soak it down. But lightly misting and then fanning is a definite go. Surface evaporation is a prime pinning trigger. I also have only ever used 4 quarts of spawn per tub and had great results. With no contams until into the 3rd flush.

When you harvest do you use an exacto knife or the twist an pull method? Also how long is it usually from pin to harvest?

I've done both as far as cutting or twist and pull. Some of the larger ones if not too crowded twist real easy out but if it is clusters or crowded then I take an exacto or knife out of the kitchen knife block and slice them out as close to the sub as I can with out cutting into the sub. As for how many days from pin to harvest well that would depend on temp. I try to keep it cooler as I have always read that they will be denser shrooms with a better potency. In the heat they may grow faster but then they are usually hollow. Rule of thumb is about a week maybe a couple days longer if fruiting in 68-70.

75-80 pin to harvest is 3-4 days

My home is always around 68 degrees. Do you get fairly dense fruits at 75-80? When I shared the cubes from my last tub. People told me that it took them less than in times past to launch. So just wondering if it is actually the temp having an effect? Or if a cube isn't just a cube? Anyhow appreciate your input into this.

Yes, mist the shit out of them. Mushrooms love it when it rains. Make it rain
