Rule #3 to be exact. It's placed there to protect our vendors and prevent unwanted attention on both ends.

Wasn't saying that anyone is in the wrong for being mad about mentioning a vendor. Just so everyone knows. Was just trying to say it in the nicest way.

It's a rule that most of us have broken at one time or another. Sometimes when a person gets excited about their upcoming mycological adventure, as most of us do, it becomes easy to type the vendor's name without even realizing the infraction.

Deathryder your totally cool and i ttoally respect you but I hafta jump on this thats 10000000% incorrect. old outdated info. i shake my jars at inoculation, at 30%, and again 2 days after it recovers. I shake em like morraccas and they are at 100% within 5 days (after germination) people use different stratagies and you just have to learn whats right for you but my point is simply that you CAN and SHOULD shake after inoculation. it makes a HUGE difference in time. I do this to all my jars and I go thru more than I would like to admit. the only time your mycelium wont recover from shaking is if its contaminated. and all that stuff about mycelium using up "mystic mushroom force power" to recover itself after shaking is completly asinine. I'v shaken my grain LC like 50 times and i still get great flushes
shake away guys its totally the bees knees
the other question i wanted to hit was "can i use spores on WBS" yes! iv scraped spores right off the print into the jar and it worked. Dont do that tho becasue its a good way to get contams. my point is it works!

I gotta jump back on this
In the majority of posts I've read where the jars were shaken immediately after a multispore inoculation, colonization was reported to have taken longer. We know that unmated mycelium (monokaryotic) takes longer to colonize than mated mycelium (dikaryotic) does, so it is most assuredly in the cultivator's best interest to keep the spores as close together as possible, and shake after partial colonization has been achieved.
I think you're having a lucky situation of "it works for me"

I inoculate grains jars and shake them. Then Inoculate again. Probably use 1 1/2CC Per Quart jar. Usually I have multiple spots of growth. And always where the last inoculation was made.
But I also dry my grains well, as to not fuck up the moisture content horribly.

I believe the OP stated that they are planing to use a multispore syringe (I'll have to go back and check when I have more time available). Shaking after a LC inoculation would definitely be beneficial.

Yeah I meant maybe orc man is using LC and that's why his experience differs!

I think Grumpyorc was making 2 points on 2 separate methods, I'm pretty sure I've read him post about inoculation from spores as well as LC. I know for sure that he has the experience to comment on either method
