Yeah - SGFC.  I'm going with Perlite.  No fans, just old school.

Yeah, fans will dry out the substrate in a hurry.
Same, most hygrometers are garbage. Only good ones
I've found were at like Cigar Shops. Even then it's
hard to find ones that aren't digital garbage.

ya so long as your tub is made correctly itll work, and if the humidity is low for some magic reason the roll in verm makes up for it

The latest:

I threw a cake pan full of verm in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes.  Rinsed the two cakes, finger-scrubbed, rolled, and in the misted FC.

Fan every so often, mist when the sides are dry. (?)

I'm going to birth another two or three cakes in 1-3 days.  I feel better about my early pinning, et cetera, after I re-read the PF Tek Version 2 last night, and it indicated that pinning in vitro is preferred, and that a jar should be left to colonize for up to three days after first pins are seen.  Again...(?)

So...my colonization/incubation chamber is now my fruiting chamber.  These doors seem to work reasonably well for fanning purposes - any thoughts on that?
