A Story off a strain that never could be.
    #16825340 - 09/10/12 07:29 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Back about 9 years ago i had a mushroom kit .. back when it was all legal in the UK. It was Mexican

This cake was found by a parent and was chucked into a plastic bag and dropped into the wheelie bin.
At the time the bin only had soiled sawdust/hay from my rabbit's hutch cleaning.
The Cake/Tray sat in the bin for just over 24 hours.

At this point i was feeling lucky, I took the kit from the bin
It had grown this MASSIVE Vivid blue patch in the centre.
I Took a bleached spoon and dug at the blue patch
It had roots running deep into the cake and i removed all of it
untill there was barely any cake left.

Then i dropped it back into the fruiting chamber.
The next day the patch came back very minimaly. I removed in the same way as before

Two days later the mycelium kicked back into play!
Very happy at this point.

The cake then fruited one mushroom at a time but they had changed

The Caps were paper white with a small yellow "piss" drop looking stain to the centre
This is not the only thing
The stems were hollow and only a few mm's thick
and the stems had a very obvious strip like texture what looked like it seemed too weave making these strange curvy and lumpy stems.
They grew big like a B+ with really heavy thick caps.

Only 3 mushrooms ever grew all weighed 10g each(wet) i ate two and it was still to this day the most powerfull thing i have ever experienced.(at this time taking 40g wet was usual)
with a very bizzar trip! with a amazing after glow.
Now im older and wiser im very upset that i never took a print because since i have never seen anything like this

Im hoping to do this all over again with a 1/2 tapped cake (like before) too see if i can make this happen again.
Very unlikely but worth a shot my friend owns a rabbit

(im aware i have no credibility + proof .. just wanted to share my mutation story)

Interesting post.

With minimal research done I'm pretty sure. That there's 150k species or forms of mushrooms and a very minute percent of them properly identified.

Think the approximate number was given in Paul Staments LOHAS convention or something. I have the video if you need the exact title, hour long talk about how mushrooms can help save the world very good stuff.

Thanks for the reply guys
Only wish I had took prints so i could have shared this

They were so damn strong! Must have been the hollow stems, Less flesh but same tryptamine content. If that makes sence

If anyone knows what the blue mold/bacteria was i would love to know it was very very strong blue with thick "roots" running into the cake
100% no bruise
