Value and easiest/best outcome question

First time grower here, I need your opinion on what my next move should be. I have $150 to blow on this shroom grow, should I follow normal PF tek or go bulk? I'm looking into getting this: http://www.shroomsupply.com/mushroom-grow-kits/mushroom-cultivation-kits
My question is how successful are these bag grows? I thought it was a pretty good deal but don't like the idea of misting everyday. Could I hook up a humidifier somehow? Or just go ahead with regular pf tek?
Much thanks in advance

Don't buy a kit, they're a waste of money. Build a SGFC and use the PF Tek for your first grow, you can get all the details in the "Everything A New Cultivator Needs To Know!" guide linked in my signature

Don't get a kit. Spend the money on a Still Air Box, a Fruiting Chamber, 1/2 pint jars, and ingredients. Whatever is left over after that spend on the biggest and best Pressure Cooker you can find. Check your local second hand stores before you spend a bunch of money on the PC.

Once you have a few grows under your belt, bag grows kick ass.

Thanks! Is the pressure cooker needed? I read somewhere it's possible to just use a pot

You can do PF Tek jars without a pressure cooker, but you have to have one when you get into bulk with grains. You can use a stock pot with a lid to steam sterilize PF jars though.

Anytime bro!
I'm not on here 24/7, but I do check in frequently throughout the day, and I do keep an eye on the main page and my inbox while I do research

One last question. Should I still drill as many holes in the SGFC if I'm running a humidifier setup? I assume it's bringing in constant oxygen so I won't have to fan except to start pinning. Is this correct?

The SGFC is designed to operate on its own without fans or humidifiers. If you want to get into automated grows that use fans and humidifiers, look into greenhouses. I loved the one that's linked in my signature.

So I can't just run the humidifier setup into it? I've already got the tote and humidifier so I guessed I jumped the gun

You can, but I haven't seen a SGFC with a humidifier or fan setup yet that hasn't had problems. I would run the standard SGFC for your first run, and save the humidifier for when you decide to get a greenhouse

I've done it before but it was based on the room setup and also because the humidity of the winter was so low. I actually had one in the room and a larger house one near the air return for the furnace.
But just cause i pulled it off doesnt mean it should be done. Really if you build the thing to spec it shouldnt be needed unless you got less then 20% RH in your house
