The substrate is covered all around including the bottom... pretty much looking the same as the side of the jar in the pictures...just wondering if it should appear thicker and not so transparent. Also from what I have read and and from looking at pictures mycelium usually appears thicker and more of a bright white. Just maybe paranoid that these dont look so healthy.
thanks

It all depends man Multispore inoculation has thousands of different genetics. Sometimes it's super milky white, and sometimes it appears thin. Also the substrate looks to be shrinking which is fine, but that causes your dry very barrier to fall down the sides of the jar. How long have they been 100%?

Looking good. Wait at least 7 days, then birth them. Try not to expose them to sunlight or intense light. After full colonization light becomes an important pinning trigger.

For a few days now - I was gonna wait a little longer to see if any of the black spots grow larger (hoping as you said falling substrate) and then birth 'em (give them that week to colonize throughout)

Wait 4-5 more days... Leaving them longer won't hurt anything. We allow them to consolidate to allow the mycelium to obtain a hold on the substrate. If you birth them now they would just sit in your FC doing nothing for days. This way it's less work.

Look for Rubbermaids... They don't usually crack. Drill slower.

Try heating the drill bit? Never made a sgfc myself, but I have cracked a few tubs doing the same thing.

I'd rather me say it, then some douche with a chip on his shoulder thinking he's a master cultivator.
