How to fruit a partially colonized tub? (pic)

The surface of my tub isn't colonizing. The sides and bottom are all colonized. How can I go about fruiting this bad boy? Should I scoop out all the uncolonized parts? The tub hasn't made ANY progress in multiple days, and I'm convinced it's pretty much done colonizing.

PLUS FOUR: A rare and precious transcendental state, which has been called a 'peak experience', a 'religious experience,' 'divine transformation,' a 'state of Samādhi' and many other names in other cultures. It is a state of bliss, a participation mystique, a connectedness with both the interior and exterior universes, which has come about after the ingestion of a psychedelic drug, but which is not necessarily repeatable with a subsequent ingestion of that same drug. If a drug (or technique or process) were ever to be discovered which would consistently produce a plus four experience in all human beings, it is conceivable that it would signal the ultimate evolution, and perhaps the end, of the human experiment.

I would wait longer until it breaks through the top.
If you want to fruit them right now, just introduce to fruiting conditions, the top of the sub should act like a casing layer.

How long has it been colonizing? Is that a coir/verm substrate?

I'd go ahead and fruit it. For some reason that I've yet to find, mycelium doesn't tend to evenly break through the surface of the coir. If you look at my "Breaking in the Greenhouse" growlog linked in my signature, the 6 trays I had in there didn't fully colonize the surface, but I still got good results.

Find a spot outside to dump it cover it in leaves or grass and water every few days. You might still get fruits..
