The pictures with the egg cartons were so beautiful. Do you happen to know if it grows well on a straw mixed with an assortment of tasty wood?

personally I have no idea, check woodlover teks and straw and see what the search function comes up with.. it might just be a case of properly preparing it. it's hungry stuff so I wouldn't be surprised, but I'll let the answer to this to the experts

I would love to grow something like this, but the only place that I could put them that would be safe from my pitbull from smashin into the pot, is in a pretty shady space. Anyone know how little sun these puppies can grow with would be?

best/biggest mushies(cubes) ive ran across were found predominantly in the shadiest parts of the feild(in/around treelines)..climate/growing conditions (with light being factored in last) would be of greater importance i would think

Well they would probably only get about 20 mins a day first thing in the morning. Would they grow in a pot that had lets say another plant in it? Like the plant would have wood chips all around it. Cause it would be also along the same path that the meter guy would have to walk by. If I could have some other plant in it, I could be like "Holy shit officer, you mean to tell my I have mushrooms in my plant? Oh shit thats terrible. . .

well i mixed my chips with a bit of soil and forest humus, and they loved it, but I'm not sure if you could get any big plants growing in it.
also the pins took a couple of weeks to mature, if not more, so you might get a bit paranoid waiting for them to flourish

but seriously, who is gonna think twice about some random mushrooms (to them anyway) growing in a flower pot? i would just say that i saw them there one day and thought they were pretty or something along those lines...

Now I have a few hundred wild Psilocybe zaportecorum prints, I need to find a way to distribute them. Anyone who is up for it should PM me.

I go to Mexico for many reasons. The people here are really fucking cool. And the women are amazing. But I am in Mexico for the mushrooms, they have the best mushrooms in the world. It's almost the end of the season, now it's mushroom season the the west coast USA. So I am going there ASAP.
Right now I am in Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico, staying with some biologist friends. We find really cool mushrooms every day.

Probably yes, I would totally do that, but only if you are a female. If you are male, marriage with me is extremely unlikely.

seeing how these frisco's have very similar growing parameters to psilocybe cyanescens i would think that straw could be added, probably more as an additive than the main ingredient of the substrate. i have absolutely ZERO experience with this technique tho. im only saying this because of something i ran across while doing a little reading.

...ps. cyans grow on finch seed, you can use that as spawn to inoculate some alder wood chips and or sawdust. You can mix that in with some compost or straw even as shown in TMC...
