Yeah...you know where I am so it will be unlikely...
I have gotten the impression that the cold is not as critical (or as low?) for these as it is for P. cyans or Azures.
I got four different strains of P. subs recently too, from South Australia, WA, Victoria, and ...I forget. ...but these are in the same cold-lovers group.
Ah, I just can't resist trying.
JD
P.S. Out of curiosity, I dug into an outdoor patch of P. cyans that I set up a long time ago. I found nicely colonized wood chips to I repaired the patch. We'll see.

Huh. Interesting because I have never gotten that impression at all from anywhere. Mikey likes it though.
ps- I know you can't resist trying, bro.

got my first print!!
it looks a little light brown though... (same print, one with flash (right) and one natural light)
I can't remember what my print looked like but does this look ok to you all?
currently have 12 others in a SAB, so hoping I can do a great give away myself soon
------- TheWilf!
how's it going there fella? yeah I struck gold with these beauties! So amazing seeing them progress through the grains (weakly) and then take hold in the egg cartons (hungrily!) and then totally munch on the woodchips! watching the pins grow has been fascinating too! I felt a cold snap a few weeks back and though, "oh they'll like that" and there it was, the first little bit of white poking through! the're quite a bit slower than cubes, but with al the bluing, and the gorgeous colour of their caps, I'm totally in love
how's you mate? waiting to get back and check your beds I see?

JJs alright Ham....we've all come a long way.
I recognize those who were about a year ahead of me when I arrived.
The "greybeards" were the most important in many ways, with their large experience (think RR), but it was those people who were still on the learning curve...with more experience than me, but who were still really active that helped me get started the most.
You are a good example for me...the half year head-start made you seem like Albert Shroomstein. You helped me a lot.
I am happy to see another exotic grower Keeno!

edit: i realize how tone of the post could have been taken as sarcastic, but thats just the problem with communicating over the internet. my vibes were all positive i love seeing my friends succeed

Both are the same in that they are in the Psilocybe family and are cold weathered wood-lovers, but are two different types of mushroom characterized by shape and color of spore and fruit body and probably trip too.
actually they are not a family , Psilocybe is the genus , and this is not new to me and i have been studying this genus for many years bud. thier spore color is identical, fruit body is pretty much the same and they are super closely related , i beleive they are in the same section. as is P cyanescen .
