Haha, nobody knows man. Salt works good as a slug replant too. 25 pins sounds sick and I'd like to see a pic of that too, please.
I'd not add any of all that to the top of the substrate. Maybe some more well mulched hardwood clippings. Sounds like things are going fine just the way they are so the motto: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" would apply. If I was obsessing hard and just HAD to fuck with shit though, I'd use something like a peat moss and vermiculite based casing material as a late casing layer.

Pretty sweet man! So do I understand correct that most of the pan and similar wood lovers need to be done outside? In a colder climate this may be though to do, are there any ways to do it indoors successfully?

well it seems like all woodlovers need to be outside, and it makes them easier to cultivate in terms of sterile conditions etc.
if you want to find out more about Pan Cyans (different to the Psil. Cyans and cyanfriscosas) then I'd suggest looking at Stonesun's series "just as easy as cubes" posts, they're super excellent posts!!!
the woodlovrs are pretty cool with cold temps, so I reckon you should go for it mate! they're a much longer investment in time but I remember thinking "September? that's never gonna arrive!!" and here we are with pins of beauty and joy

well I reckon get started in December/ January. I guess the friscosas know when to fruit, so the 6 week window should be fine. But I'm just guestimating? perhaps Psilocybe Cyanescens might be better suited to the cold temps... can anyone else advise if this is right at all?

Don't think 6 weeks will give the myc time to take hold and produce fruit but it's worth a try , and if it doesn't fruit you can always expand for next season . The nice thing about woodlovers is you can just leave nature to do it's thing . Back to topic , Keeno WTF your killing me with your pics . The blueing on the stems on those pins in your last pic are amazing . It was well worth the wait mate . Keep us updated

I just love outdoor growlogs of woodlovers. The pins have an amazing look with those blue spots covering their stems. Well done!
