outdoor crumbled cake depth
    #16814315 - 09/08/12 10:55 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Ok so i buried some cakes a lil over a week ago and im really starting to bug out about it.  I think i may have buried them too deep.  Id say they are about 3 inches down.

Ive made a large patch so i dug with one finger and saw some it seems to be growing, still bright white and attaching to the horse poo.

My question is will it be ok but just take longer to surface or should i maybe dig it up and bring the spawn a lil closer to the surface.

Id really hate to see my work done in vain.  I was think it would take bout three weeks from burying for them to fruit.  Its been a week.

Thoughts?  Should i just be patient or take action.

3 inches is probably not enough man. Give it some time. More water. Be patient.

It's the most torturous part of this hobby, wait, wait some more, then when you finally think it's time to intervene, wait longer.  Then something usually happens in your favor lol.

Did you break you cakes up much? or just plant them like big mushroom seeds? Did you mix them through the bulk at all? or just layer it?
