A few bird seed questions

Found a nice bag of bird seed that is mostly millet, wheat berries, and milo, and a lttle bit of sunflower seeds (11lbs for $3.50 sweet deal!) My question is, is this stuff ok or better to use instead of Reg WBS. And because of the wheat, will it need to be prepared differently than reg WBS with just milo, millet and cracked corn? any input would make me very happy..

stuff looks pretty good. there is nothing wrong with using sunflower seeds in sub, but if you dont want to just soak it and all the stuff you dont want will float to the top and you can skim it off

That's what I use When you put them to soak, the sunflower seeds float. I usually scoop all of them out.

Maybe someone who can comment on the wheat berries will come along. Otherwise, do a small soak/simmer (or whatever) test batch to check for consistency/hydration. My guess is that it will work just fine.

Looks similar to the one I use & fine by me. I tend to scoop most the sunflower seeds out when soaking but you can leave some in as well, doesn't seem to make much difference.

The wheat berries are fine and probably even better.

actually makes no difference at all. but no flower seeds is a much more uniform spawn.
