Hello everyone, I'm just looking to grow some cubes in a small terranium, the size being a cubic foot approx.
I've got my BRF, perlite and vermiculite, just need to make my cakes and set up the terranium for good humidity, I got a thermometer and humidity meter. The light is a 15w kitchen and bath bulb that was used previously on a fish aquarium. I have access to a pressure cooker also.
My quetions are, is there any particular strains that will work good for this kind of setup? Are there any spore companies within Canada, I am leery of ordering from the States and having my package of syringes go through customs (I've had problems with customs before). Is the lighting adequate or should I get a different kind of bulb? How many cakes can I fruit at once in this?
Thank you in advance, this will be my first time, I am looking forward to it
Note: I will not be using that exact tupperware because I can't close the 'door' with it inside, so I've transformed that into my glove box

pretty much any strain of cubensis will suit your beginner needs due to the fact that cubensis is cubensis. my first grow was with the equador strain and the results were fantastic so i would recommend that strain. I hear B+ are easy to and PF classic is a good beginner strain as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I was planning to use the PF-TEK, if it wasn't readily apparent

Nice setup! If you can make a grow log. If you need a strain Treasure Coast is a very nice pinner, and potent at that. Have Fun!

I am just worried about customs stopping vials filled with spores, but I guess they're not illegal in any way at all

I'm digging that grow cabinet. Are you trying to go stealth or just a good spot to grow? -Mr.Sleep

Well it's sort of stealth, you can see I've put some weather stripping around the inside to prevent the light from seeping out, but when closed (Around hinges especially) you can see lots of light coming out. And it's not sound-proofed or anything, so you can hear the air-pump running the bubbler when it's on.
I mostly made it cause it's a convenient place for me, easy access, and also has an element of stealthyness so when I invite people over they don't see my fruiting bodies and start some trouble.
I'm thinking I'll try four cakes for the first batch

Is it possible to have my friends terranium with just saran wrap stretched over the top, for fruiting? I am going to have to cut the top to make it fit. Also, my cat bought some 500ml wide mouth jars, should she go back out and buy some 250ml ones instead (250ml = 1/2 pint)
She sent out an order for a friend for some Treasure Coast and Ecuador
