budget for starting a grow

Hey I was just wondering something. I want to start a small grow and I figured the best place to start would be to place a budget. How much do you think itll cost for all the materials? If anyone has a material list that would be nice too

You can do the PF Tek for under $50 if you're a savvy shopper. The "Everything A New Cultivator Needs To Know!" guide linked in my signature will tell you all about it, and what you'll need to pull it off

Yep, I would try and get the vermiculite at a nursery though, Walmart overcharges for it bad.

Sterlite tub $5 Perlite x2 $10 Vermiculate $5 BRF $5 Dozen jars $12 Lysol $3 Alchohol $2 Spray Bottle $1 Lighter $1 Damp-Rid $6 Foil $3
Total: $ 53
Turn the tub upside down on a table and slide the lip off the edge. use this as a glovebox during your inoculation. after that borrow a power drill from a friend to turn your tub into a Shotgun FC. You shouldn't really need anything else if you follow the directions to the letter.
Oh ya SPORES!

What exactly is the shotgun fc? I saw a picture of it and i dont understand the purpose. Why do I need to use a drill? I cant just use a knife or something?

you need a drill becasuse the holes need to be 1/4 inch. 2 inches apart. also its gonna take you a week with a knife. watch the video homeboy posted above you fruit your cakes in the chamber, and no theres no real decent alternative
how do you have 1,188 posts and this is your first grow?

You guys are so lucky in the US. To setup here in Australia
2 tubs (one for glovebox, one for FC) $30 12 1/2 pint jars $40 2 liters 90% Alcohol $58 (min size available) 100 liters verm $25 Spore print from overseas $27 syringes and needles x10 $10 1kg BRF $10 Spray bottle $2 Pressure cooker big $. I got a 2nd hand one for $80 foil $5 for heavy duty
almost $300!!!
and there's still other bits and pieces I haven't listed including gloves and wipes and stuff. Gotta be pretty dedicated to lash out that kind of $ to do it. Fortunately the street value here is high too, and even selling to your mates at bargain prices you'll quickly get your cash back. Still makes me dead jealous reading how cheap it is for you guys, Walmart doesn't exist here. And the nurseries expensive as hell. Sob
PS: I started with Golden Teacher, apparently quite an easy strain to grow.

I wouldn't do PE its a pain in the dick to fruit
Brazil and cambodian grew very quickly for me and produced alot they equadors probably are similar. i just got PES Amazon and its AMAZING.
ultimatly "a cube is a cube unless its pe -RR " i kind of agree. any syringe u get online is going to have 100 different substrains in it that will all perform differently. its all the same species of muishroom, and you cant breed them without a huge lab so the only way you could alter the genetics is to grow it under different conditions for long enough that it adaps and changes soo.......................... if you find one you like just make sure you keep a print

Good lord, you make me want to stock up on gear and head to Aussie land!
BTW, the Free Spore Ring Earth will send prints to Australia. I don't know what your monetary conversion is, but they just cost $2 USD. There's also several members here on the Shroomery that send prints to Australia. I think Violet had a free spore pints for Australia thread going, might run a search for it
