How does this collection differ from psilocybe pelliculosa?

Nice shots, M. You might want to consider throwing one of them onto W Commons.

Did you confirm that find by spore color and bruising? < Not questioning your ID, just making sure because I know squat about sect. Semilanceata...

He also said that he has found them many times growing in fir forests.

Thanks everyone for comments.

I would still do a spore print ... Even if your friend knows what they are... Can't hurt, right?
I thought p. silvatica were a bit larger... Spent some time trying to sort out p. Pells from p. silvatica

Psilocybe pelliculosa has more of a mycenoid cap shape, which never opens up.  The cap of Psilocybe silvatica expands to convex in age.

This is an extremely interesting find.  It might be Psilocybe medullosa if it can be proven that the European P. medullosa is different than the US P. silvatica.

If this is the taxon I think it is, it does contain psilocybin and psilocin, but does not stain blue.

I wouldn't call this 100% true P. silvatica - the European version is different and the name Psilocybe medullosa might apply.
