Advice needed on lighting/temperature

Hello everyone,
I recently bought the following:
http://www.magic-mushrooms-shop.com/en/b-psilocybe-cubensis-grow-box-2.html
I have followed all the instructions for growing, but had a question I wanted to ask you guys:
I live in a pretty cold flat, and can't really afford to have the heating pumping all day to keep the grow-kit at the optimal 23 degrees. Based on the following picture I wanted to know the following:

1. Is this type of light sufficient to start the growth or does it need to be fluorescent light? That bulb is just a bog standard lightbulb.
2. Does anyone have any cheap alternatives to heating a whole room that can keep the area around the growbox at a certain temperature?

The light needs to be in the 6500k color spectrum. You could use a small space heater (like one of the oil filled kinds) to heat the area around the FC. How cold does it get down there? Cubes tend to grow meatier at cooler temperatures such as the high 60's low 70's (Fahrenheit scale).

incandescent bulbs barely give off any useable light..id suggest something like a 6500k or 5000k compact flourescent (cfl)..and i picked up a tiny heater from amazon for like 15 USD..gets the job done..good luck!!

That light is fine op.
I have a tub fruiting using a lamp light.

Other then the light bouncing around and causing the mushrooms to grow every which way, works just fine.
Also, you can even use these led lights (batteries burnt out on me)

That looks like a textbook lighting issue to me. I'll bet that if you switched your bulb out with one the 6500k range, they wouldn't be snaking around the floor of the FC any more.

They're just following the light, its bouncing off the seran wrap since its crinkled in some areas.

Used the same light for those ones ^^^

Have you moved the light closer or further away between grows? Changed FC lid styles? I'm just pretty skeptical about the idea of saran wrap causing refraction that would affect mushrooms in this way.
