MSG Setup - To tie the bag or not

Here is what I will spawn some jars to for the first time very soon. I am getting prepped with some research while waiting and going through the motions.
Shall I simply lay the bag over this MSG setup?
Or should I tie the bag?

Lastly, I am trying to determine if I should use the wax paper tek or not. Should I lay the wax paper right away for colonization to keep the CO2 up along with the bag or is this only to keep CO2 up once the bag is removed while pinning is trying to be achieved?

No wax paper until it's 100% colonized. I'd get a clear trash bag if you can and put some ambient 6500k spectrum lighting on a 12/12 cycle on it.
The wax paper is for later if you don't form a very good pin set. I've never used it and haven't had any issues.
Not sure how much GE is allowed when in a bag since I've never done it but if it's tied up really tight i'd poke a few holes maybe or tie it slightly loose.
What's your bulk sub mix and what are the ratios?

I dont use bags but from what i read you can do either. I personally prefer to just tape the holes its a bit more work but the benefit of being able to look in and see if all is well is worth the extra effort in my eyes. Nothing worse then letting a tub go and taking the bag off just to find that it was contaminated.
I always saw that as worse because you are opening a tub with air holes to allow spores to get out and reek havoc. Recently i had a bunch of bad spawn from a g2g and if i had done the bag i would of been screwed. (This being because i left the tubs for a week and never checked on them to find huge mold spots all over the place.) Its been a bad month for mold for me personally. This week is clean the grow room out and start over from scratch. Making agar tonight or tomorrow. Sucks when it happens but it does even with a bunch of grows under your belt.

Clear trash bag as in totally clear or just white? How would I know if I needed or should use the wax paper once I move to fruiting?

This is a MSG, so no taping over the holes, there are tons of holes!

Why not? You can take a piece of standard size gorilla tape and cut to length and then tear into 4 strips to cover 4 rows of hole per piece (double that if you use the double wide). This is given you made the holes in a straight line. I do each side of the tub with different piece of course don't try to go all the way around with 1 piece. I do it on mine all the time. It maybe a hassle but it works for me.

It work's. But not great, IMO you need more FAE for a good pinset.
I've stuffed everyone of those hole's polyfil before and it worked great. After the 3rd one I said fuck it.
Place a trash bag overtop of the hybrid sgfc and leave the bottom open. You want some FAE.

Twistey, when you tie the bag up well, do you ever open it to let co2 exchange a little or is what's in the bag enough?

well to be honest the bag barely fit around it and barely tied, so inadvertently i was letting GE take place. its not that big of a deal just make sure you give it PASSIVE GE dont try to burp it or give it rushes of fresh air.

Alright, so the bag will change to a completely transparent trash bag and will not be tied whatsoever, just laid over and the bottom will hang open. The clear bags will be nice for peeking!
I'll pick up some 6500K bulbs and set them over these MSG's.
