So ive been doing research on monstermitch's stack n view monotubs and i found one in my house
that is similar im going to use the coir , some grain spawn and a casing layer in the tub and i was
wondering how am i gonna keep the humidy up do i just spray the substrate and casing layer? Or
should i use a humidifier? Thanks and also my brf cakes have little yellow spots on them and some
of them have big ones there like yellowish / brownish i looked it up and i think it might be metabolites
and not harmful but is there a possibility that my cakes are contaminated?
Thank you!

clear tubs with clear lids are the best but you can rig up clear lid
this is what you want.
and you dont case a monotub. i follow damions 50/50 tek for sub.
and isntead of 5qts of spawn i use 10 quarts with little bit of extra water.
and no humidifier mist and fan w/e you feel like it

Damion's Tek does work for most. But it is far from proper Pasteurization.

You don't need a casing as stated above, but yes you should gently mist your tubs. Also its a good idea to run a humidifier along with an oscillating fan in the room that you're fruiting in. Keep the fan on low and always on.

They'll preform ok neglected, but benefit greatly from a little attention. Very rarely will you see a monotub growlog anymore where the tub is neglected. People often manually fan their tubs in addition to the electric fan they have running at all times. Mushrooms love as much fresh air as you can give them while still maintaining a high humidity. That means more misting.

like anything one grows, fresh air is a must. this is done by loose polyfil, or tyvek instead AND using an electric fan. ive always had great flushes this way. a cfl also helps to many degrees.
