Refridgerating a specimen/sample

Im waiting on some agar and wanted to know if you guys thought it would be alright if saved a specimen in the fridge until it arrived.. should have it in about a week.

I use the fridge to store jars that I'm saving for G2G's or GLC. It works perfectly fine. I'm not exactly sure about fruit bodies themselves but i'm almost certain that it would be fine.

I could be wrong, so you might want to wait on some other opinions.

its maybe a little over a half an inch thick at mid stem and still growing(still premature)so its thick enough for a worthy sample. i know u can store them in the fridge for abut a week to eat fresh but i didnt know if they would still be worth taking a tissue sample from after that long..
