Thanks for the recommendation Detective, unfortunately I was already gone by the time I saw your post.
Here are some from the Napa Valley area/Northern Cal. The two are from the top of Mt. St. Helena.
More to come from my time in Oregon once I get them off my phone and such.

Those spots sound cool I'm gonna have to check them out I'm always looking for new places to explore and purple sands don't sound that far from me

A few random ones from the past week. Been doing a decent amount of kayaking on the Mississippi and biking some trails in preparation for a cool kayak/bike/run race coming up this weekend. The kayak part is around an island on the sip', then bike down to some trails that you do two laps on, then back for a 2 mile run to finish it off, should be fun!

And a little beer on the beach

putting some of this out there. hope ya'll enjoy.
-------------------- "Black poppy sleeps a dreamless night
In summer shade of moony light
Hazy veils of clouds loom low
The warm kittens close to the earth
Underground bodies stir with no sound
No one to hear them under the ground
Ghost horse and stillborns turn in their cradles
Silvery meadow murmurs the song of
Tiny glow worm glowing
Rain starts her shimmery descent
Into the old leathery skin of the farm"

Those are some spectacular shots mooneyes! Thanks for sharing.

A few from a hike I did a couple days ago. There were tons of mushrooms out, which made for an exciting hike! Here are just a few that I got good shots of.
Laccaria ochropurpurea

Mycena leaiana

Polyporus squamosus

And a couple shots from working at the golf course.

Great pictures guys.
I like your edit style, Moon Eyes.
Dodgem, the John Deer shot is clever, and what's that mushroom with the fat bottom?

"Dear Deer" John Deere
And that fat bottomed girl is the same as the purple gilled mushroom, Laccaria ochropurpurea. I found out that is normal growth for that type of mushroom when immature. And I just noticed the bug (mosquito?) on top of that one, super cool! And the tiny cap on the small blob on the bottom right cracks me up!

I've been out of the photo practice for a while, due to equipment failure. I'm back now, and this is one of my new photos. I'm proud of it.
