Here are a few my roommate took while we were out hiking today. Things are really starting to look lively outside, I love the beauty. Unfortunately my phone is not turning on due to having to get in the water with my clothes on, so I could not take any pictures. Looks like a good time to get a actual camera I suppose... And what really sucks is I went to my friends 1000+ acre property this past weekend and took a bunch of awesome photos of some plants/flowers that I had never seen before, but can't get them off the phone.

Yea, it has been in one for the past three days, no luck. Gonna take it to the verizon store to see if they can salvage anything off of it.

Sup guys? I have posted in a bit, but I have been taking pictures. I'll do this in several installments, since I've got so many pics backed up.

I'm proud to say this picture is totally unedited. It's not often that I take a picture that isn't embarrassing before photoshop.

Thanks Tmethyl.
I hate the clarity and contrast of the lens I've been using. I took the sigma apart and managed to half fix it. It has partial connection now, but the aperture won't go past wide open which doesn't help the poor contrast situation.

This post should catch me up on photos. I'll add if I find more, and I'm working on naming all of these.
A Red-bodied Wasp Moth (Cosmosoma myrodora)

Hornbill

Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia)

Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus)

Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby (Petrogale xanthopus)

American Crow (Corvus brachyrhyncho)

Red-shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus)

American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)

Eastern Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)

Unknown Flower

Orb Weaver

Tri-colored Heron (Sciurus carolinensis)

Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis)

Snowy Egret (Egretta thula)

Limpkin (Aramus guarauna)

I got really good series with some friendly Black vultures. (Coragyps atratus)

Brown Anole (Anolis sagrei)

Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

Dragonfly?

Blood lilies (Haemanthus multiflorus)

Nice, I can see some of the contrast issues you are talking about. The one where the vultures are back to back really could've been a great pic. All are still enviable by the likes of me.
And yes, dragonfly

I'm here to stay. I'll be here for at least a couple years while I go to school. If I like it I'll stay longer. If I long for the road, I'll go somewhere else after that.
I do miss mountains, but I haven't seen those in years. Florida is in no way a step down from Memphis.
