Awesome pics! Do you know the butterfly species? Looks a bit like a European Swallowtail, but it doesn't seem to be one.
(Were you serious about the planet with the two moons? The stars we can see are all way too far away to see their planets)

that stars photo with the 4 sec exposure...
if you can go any higher iso do it and make the exposure
15-20 seconds

Urbann, I tried and longer exposure overexpose the shot and make the black areas reddish.
Also, you can't do longer exposures on stars because the earth is spinning, even with a 10 sec exp the stars look like comets or a long oval.
I can post some examples tonight.

Woar, I though it could've been a planet within our own solar system. Such as mars which can be seen with the naked eye.

well sir, i have been studying astrophotography

and there is a way to calculate the length of the exposure
you should use based on your lens/f. stop.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are fairly bright and stand out characteristically. Uranus and Neptune are quite unremarkable, you'd need an astronomy software like Stellarium to check where to find them.

You should make something that turns at the same relative speed that the earth turns at and stick it on your tripod so you can do like a 5 minute exposure and not have any streaks behind it.

5 min exposure is unnecessary though

Yeah my camera goes to iso12800 and even a 5 sec exp with that ISO will be too bright.
I'm going make some more attempts tonight if this storm let's up

Here are a few from the past week.  I hiked by the cliffs a month ago when I was backpacking, but phone was dead at the time so didn't get any pictures.  Next week I hope to go to the top and take some pictures looking over the Mississippi River valley.

Found these two in the back of a 'cave'.  The mushroom was a good 25 ft. back in the cave from any direct sunlight, I don't see how it got any light at all.

Just going to post my latest flower shots and randoms.
I'm trying to get better at photography but feel very limited due to equipment, or lack thereof. Mainly my obvious failure(s) at lighting.
