Now for some random shots

Pretty bad hiking conditions lately with all the rain, as you can see here the trail has turned into a small rapid

The Suwaneee river!

When you see it, you will say "wtf?" Explain that.

Here is the water I'll be drinking from now on This is a 1st magnitude spring, about 60ft deep, and delicious. I swam here for like 2 hours after a long hike.

Next, I got a new dog while I was travelling, I figured my dog needed a friend other than a boring human while hiking and chasing hogs. It's a Louisiana Catahoula breed, and typically this breed has more of a random pattern but she is pretty much solid black.
Wife named her Nikita, and I took her on a hike.
it started off well, my normal partner Woody, as seen in this pic likes her a lot. This is their first time being together, he automatically assumed the father role and takes care of her. Not sure what happened in this pic but to me it's hilarious.

Nikita got tired pretty quickly, started laying down a lot.

Had to pack her up, she slept like this for about 7 miles, dead asleep.

Later on that evening at another state park I put her up on a stump to get more pics, she fell asleep again.

Another random cat shot, not my cat but I photograph her a lot.

This was cool, I found 3 deer. Not just ordinary deer, they were tame. Someone been feeding them or something because they walked right up to me out of nowhere, it was fucking majestic. I pet the large doe(in this pic). There was 2 does, and 1 young buck. Never pet a deer before this.

A cottonmouth snake, I think. Sitting near the trail

Random insect finds, I held this spider. He was on a hand-railing where someone might lay their hand on him and squish him so I relocated him. Never been afraid of insects much but it was still pretty scary holding this thing.

Yep, that's shit. I called this shot "Bejewled poop - beauty is everywhere"

I'll close this off with some random flowers
A species of Purslane, or "moss rose"

Wild Penta

False-bird-of-paradise

Have a good life friends.

As always, beautiful and moving pictures tmethyl. That pup looks like too much fun, enjoy. My dog has been with my old roommate who originally got the dog with me for the past couple weeks, can't for her to come home. And you snake picture reminded me that I saw my first rattlesnake today. I was out swimming in the lake and stopped on a little cliff at my turn around spot, and sat down about 4 feet in front of it and was there for about 5 minutes. I randomly turned around and looked at this crack under a rock and noticed it all curled up. I poked it with a snick a few times and got it to rattle for about 8 seconds, but couldn't get it to come out or move.
Well after those random facts I s'pose I should add a couple of my own.
Did some cliff jumping a couple days ago. I need to go to this place more often, so much fun.

From a random hike to the cool pool (cold ass ground water little fall)
Carrot? lol Northern water snake I believe this guy was.
And this is my pup
And the two goblins she runs shit with at our house

And one more for good measure

Look like Hasty and Dodgem found some Xeromphalina (likely X.campanella) And Dodgem your orange mushroom is Mutinus caninus (dog dick mushroom) likely. Also, what breed is your dog Dodgem? Never seen a dog like that, he's awesome.
Awesome photo's guys.

Those are Ghost Flowers. Likely Monotropa uniflora. They're a parasitic plant (only plants in the world lacking chlorophyll) They parasitize on mycorhizal fungi, which is living on tree roots.

I went to the beach yesterday and saw this guy along with about 10 more hatchlings walking into the ocean. It was really amazing watching them try to speed through the sand. Seagulls got two and a crab almost got one but he got away. The rest made it in the ocean.
