Hell yes Dodgem I would love to visit your areas, that looks beautiful. Those water shots with the rocks make me thirsty.

If you ever find your way to the midwest, I can show ya a good time. Southern Illinois really is a diamond in the rough, no one really knows about it but it really is amazing. I love it out here.
And that was some of the clearest water I have ever seen, it was beautiful. There are a couple other 'areas' by that place that I plan on going out to in the next few weeks, get ready for some more pictures.

At some point soon here I'm going to take a road trip across America and visit all my online mycology friends I'll be going from FL to GA, to NY, then maybe towards your area, then WA and CA. My main goal was the reach the old growth forests in washington and N.cal. I've wanted to see those giant trees since I was a kid.

I would gladly make the 7 hour drive to Humboldt county to hunt in the giant redwoods with ya. Plus I know that area like the back of my hand so I could make sure you see all the cool spots.

I will definitely contact you when I get out there. Actually I'd contact you a few days in advance I fully appreciate that though, I'd much rather have someone with me who knows the area.

Yea it's a huge county. I've met lots of people who visited up there and had a bad time because they had no idea what to do or where to go, and most importantly what areas to avoid.
Edit: Now that I think back on it, those people who had a bad time were just people who went there for the wrong reasons, and the rest of them are just pinners who don't appreciate epic nature

Well if you're not available at the time I go maybe you can just give me some pointers or draw me a map
Heres my latest adventure
The preserve was flooded, so much rain lately.

A flooded pine forest, thats something you do not see everyday. The pine needles stain the water red too.

I fell in love with these Oudemansiella platensis, I call them Treemanitas

Here are some pics of Psilocybe Ovoideocystidiata habitat that I find pleasing to the eye.

A pleasing land of drowsy head it was,
Of dreams that wave before the half-shut eye,
And of gay castles in the clouds that pass,
For ever flushing round a summer sky. -Castle of Indolence

Tmethyl said: Thanks TMM. What us up with people putting an "i" in my name? Its pronounced Tee-meth-ul. I don't really care I just think its strange that so many people add the i. Which makes me think you're all pronouncing it Tim-eth-ul in your heads.
I do have a lot of cool pics to add tonight I ran out of time last night and couldn't add them.
Thank you for this post, it clears up a lot of confusion! I can't help pronouncing it Time-eth-ul in my head, and I knew it was wrong.

Excellent shots Botha thanks for sharing your area. I've only seen snow one time but they told me it was "sleet" So I guess I've never seen snow in person

I took these pictures today during a hike along my favorite river not far from my home in Northern Minnesota. I'm definitely not a professional photographer, but I had a great time getting outside and taking some pictures.
This is a really beautiful pool at the top of a small waterfall.

A little ways down stream from the previous picture.

Some cool flowers. I'm not very good at identifying flowers.
