Thanks, it looks a little funny because it was shot on f/1.8 for 30seconds @ ISO500 and the light was really cruddy, intense full moon really screwed it up.

Went out to what is called snake road, about 40 minutes from my place. The park rangers shut down ~a mile stretch of gravel road due to the excess amount of snakes that cross the road during about a 1 month period in the spring and fall. They migrate from a big wetland/marsh area to some big cliffs each season.
My neighbor went last week and said he saw over 20 snakes in the hour that he walked around, with half of them on the gravel road. Me and my buddy went today, and here is the cottonmouth we saw. My buddy was about 2 ft from stepping on it on our way back to my truck.

It was a bit chilly today and overcast so didn't see any other snakes. Might go back tomorrow since it is supposed to be sunny and like 75.
