lovin the owls!! beautiful well all of your pics are great really! I drew the conclusion of Coprinoid from wikipedia. they appeared to be more similar to these before aging, but I've also read that some can only be differentiated by mycroscopy and that there one should not get to comfy with parasole or coprinoid species remaining in their current Genus as you know I'm no identifier but I'm trying to dig deep and do my best. what makes you say parasola though? please do correct anything I've said if I'm wrong. thanks
also I just took a sweet sunset shot:)..

Coprinoid isn't a genus, it's just a generic term that refers to all inky caps. Yours is likely a Coprinopsis sp.

How the hell did that happen? Did somebody put him in there?
Those volcano pictures are epic Az0th, and I don't mean the generic over used version of epic, I mean they are truly epic.

Nah. Not unless someone snuck on to my property and did it. I laid it over on the ground to let him out after watching for a few minutes.

How do you figure he did it? I mean I can't see the openings on the thing from that angle so from here it looks impossible.

The top slides up and down the wire it hangs from. A gust of wind probably blew it open slightly. Funny thing is, he kept trying to dog his way out.
