Nice snake pic. It looks like it might be a black racer. Very common on the east coast.

Thanks Gandalf.

Also, before I go to sleep I wanted to share this amazing pic I took this morning. It's an oil slick on asphalt.

My bad. The bed of flowers made me think you might work at one.

I really like the center pic of the last ones you posted. It looks like a perfect place to find a gator hiding in the little overhang.

I really like those two waterfall shots! The one with the green water looks like it would be pretty deep.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw it as well.
That was one of the last stops on our last day, about 2.5 hour walk from it so I plan on biking out there when the weather is nice to see how deep it is, aka see if I can jump into it :awedance:

Yea, I noticed that too.. I plan on moving it away from there if it is still there when i get down there.  There is a old gravel road that literally run about 50 feet away from the top of the fall (you can see it in the picture) so it doesn't surprise me too much though..
Overall there weren't too many sore sights over the 60 miles we did, but things like that just take away from the beauty of it all.

Seriously awesome shots Dodgem, it is so cool to see peoples hiking spots, I'm glad this thread has had so many contributions like yours.
It's like a virtual hike every time I visit, I really appreciate that.

Tonights contributions:

Macro shot of Peacock feather

Sunset

Old grown over bridge and environment shot

Here is something fun, I covered a Seminole Indian war reenactment at Fort Cooper state park FL yesterday, and here are some random shots from this.

Cannon firing

Hope you guys enjoy these shots as much as I enjoy yours.

i could just wear my gopro on all my hikes, then it really would be a virtual hike for ya

but really, I know what you mean.  It is cool to see pictures from all over the US (don't think there have been many outside the US) and how different each place is.

and love the overgrown bridge shot tmethyl
