You want to compare it with pluteus washingtonensis not psilocybe washingtonensis. Not sure if you noticed this or not Can pluteus washingtonensis be cultivated from spores? If anyone can do it it's Bfogg, maybe send him a stem butt or spore print.

Huh? the link was for pluteus washingtonensis and the spores I was talking about were the ones I measured last night. Yeah we already talked, I couldnt get a print because there was tons of bugs in it and it was getting eaten up good, it wouldnt of lasted to make much of a clean print, so i threw in on the fan to dry and preserve the material, i might find more though and he will be the first to get one.

Edit: ahh his link not mine, got cha.

Sorry for taking over the thread one last thought "As no morphological characters were found to separate the two, P. brunneidiscus and P. washingtonensis are considered here synonymous" Also, it could be, I find that it matches the spores like salicinus. however with this source It has keyed out to P. salicinus.

Ya none of my old spots from the last couple years are fruiting at all, only the stuntzii patch which is always fruiting pretty much. All my main cyan patches from '10 and '11are completely different landscaping now due to being in a well kept park.
Only 1 spot there has been fruiting nicely in the back of the park where nobody goes, but doesnt even fruit until Nov now, and this pin raping kid raped em last year before they could reach their full potential so i hope they go good this year. Ill take some prints and get a culture goin on agar to replenish the spot with.
Im so excited i happened to stumble upon a new fairly nice sized cyan patch this year which yields oz's already picked couple z's of wavys then the lawn mower got em tons more prematures and pins i pray dont get raped.

Not really, no. Environmental conditions account for a lot of the size differences.

Went and checked my lib fields today, with no love. I found a small patch of the biggest gymnopilus luteofolius I have ever seen. So today wasn't a complete bust. Looked as if; somebody else found them, ripped them out and tossed them on the other side of a chip pile. The wood chips where discards from a horse field.
