OregonChronic said: Looks like its gonna be a nice year! I was takin a walk through the park a couple days ago and came across my first cyan find of the year. Picked 90-100 matured dried to 22.1g cracker dry. Cant wait until my old patches pin! The rain stopped for a bit so I'm goin out to look for more! The exciting part is these were here before the rains it looks and no sprinklers around them.

And what is all this green shit sprayed all over the woodchips. I hoped it wasnt a fungicide or someshit, but whatever it is, its in the patch and lots of other possible spots. Look at the rain on the leaf that has the green shit all dissolved into it. Its all over all the newer pins.

Happy harvest season everyone! Theyre out there gotta go lookin.
the green shit is probably a spray colorant. Probably means they were spraying weed killers there. Or an attempt to keep people from picking there?

Damn nice cyans! SO it was a sad sad sad day today, got off work in hopes to check my lib field ive been going to since I started hunting, only to find it was mashed up and turned in to a crop, no more grass or cows.... But I stumbled upon some pan subbs, didnt take them. But still... The Lib field has always been my back up when I couldnt find cyans or anything else and it always had TONS of libs. I guess this just means Im gunna have to search long and hard for a good patch of Cyans. Happy Hunting everyone, Lets make it a great year.

sort of off topic but my wife made me a gymnopilus luteus yesterday.

Cyanescens are doing well, slowly but surely.
psilocybe cyanofibrillosa dig the rains.

My cat is curious about the cyanescens, I hope the fucker doesn't try to eat any.

The specimen in the last shot is getting bluer and bluer. I cuz them to preserve as much myc as i could, although the lutefolius myc is showing an insane amound of blue/green bruising at the base and on the myc.

Was digging around and found this photo from a couple years back. We were screwing around. For all of you well wishers out there, NO my buddy was not about to take a bite of this Amanita. It was one that another hunter had flipped over and left, we left it for the next person to find and take goofy pictures with. LOL

For everyone out there with the MONSTROUS photos that are way OVER-SIZED, feel free to pm me. I am more than happy to teach you how to re-size them so that it will keep the thread less cluttered looking. Maybe I am just a little OCD?

I like my size of photos, they dont require scrolling or extra loading from the thumbnail, thats the way Bobzimmer, Bloodworm and many other great threads do it, maybe its not right for here? but I like it that way, feel free to let me know otherwise, I know how to change it. I use mushroom observer, so making pics enlarge by the thumbnail is not something that i can do very easily for only one thread. I would have to upload them all separately to the database here.

I took a lot of the pictures out, I had just copy paste fom my thread, not it should be less "cluttered".

You should post a proper ID in your own thread, make sure to include pics of the underside , Looks like it could be Hebeloma sp.

Joust,
your pictures weren't showing up earlier on my side. They look great now! My original comment earlier was not directed to anyone specific, I just know that it takes a lot more time to browse this thread when having to manually click on and open every photo to see what has been posted. I generally take all of my photos from my phone and they always need to be re-sized or you end up seeing a minimal amount of the actual photo unless you click on it.

How far away are you from the coast? I live about 65 miles from the coast and we get actives in my area, I'm from Oregon in the Willamette valley. I was thinking the other day that it gets colder much sooner east of the cascades so I bet you guys in central Washington/Oregon would get fruits sooner also it have been freezing where my family lives in central Oregon for over 2 months so theoretically azurscens patches could fruit August. Once the season is done there you could always come west a little but and pick them closer to the ocean. 2 azurscens and cyanescens seasons per year sounds awesome to me.

Yea you would think here in central wa that it's coulder and makes more fruits, but we get not much rain here. Only lots of snow during winter and VERY hot in the summer.

Use hoses and sprinklers - they survive hot/ freezing and wet and very dry conditions they are nearly un stoppable
