maybe one of our wonderful mods will clean up this thread before it gets out of hand... I believe there is a PNW discussion thread somewhere around here.

Joeisthevolcano said: Finally! Fall is here. Went to the PSMS Wild Mushroom Show yesterday to celebrate the start of the season. Had an awesome time as usual. I was quite suprised to see the amount of mushrooms they had on display considering it just started to rain thursday. Got a new knife, sweatshirt and various odds and ends from the vendors that were there. If you've never gone, I highly suggest checking it out. Its only $10 and totally worth it. Soo many specimens that youd normally not find. My favorite was the Cordyceps table. Cant go today cause of work, but I plan on checking some spots when I get off...
so, I went out last weds to my favorite spot on the eastside with my roommate. We got about 50 cyans. Came across quite a bit of ringers too. Went back on friday and got 15 more. Sadly, I didnt get any photos but ill have some to post soon. Havent found anything at my spots in seattle. Should see alot more this week though. Get out and start looking! Happy Hunting!!!

Here is a site for all of you that that thought you were on a weather forum, post over here -> http://www.wunderground.com/
I saw a sasquatch feeding apples to a unicorn this morning... didn't have a chance to get pics, just thought I would share though...

What type of mushrooms were those that earthquakeopossum posted? I'm familiar with most of the species of the PNW but those don't look like anything i've seen. Well, I've seen them, just never knew they were active. What species are they?

they are really really really shitty condition stunzi and beo
you can totally see the bluing in the beo stems for sure including the picture of it still in the ground. i think the sprinklers creating some wonky conditions for them plus the normal weather

The only species of mushroom I see in your pictures are psilocybe baeocystis (which is really cool) and maybe Tuberia furfuracea (which I hope you didn't mistake for psilocybe stuntzii). Do you have any other pictures of the second species?

Been finding in my normal spots p.cyan looking pretty good but I had a quick question. One of my old patches was torn up by the land keepers but I grabbed a sense clump of very happy myc and transplanted it this was late november least year. The patch has almost quadrupled in size and looks healthy will it fruit this year?
