A little over two weeks earlier than last year, nice one mysterious Now you gotta go find more of the fibs like last year. I think it's just us that find em, for now Nice looking stuntzii. Maybe I will stay up and go for a walk this morning
-------------------- Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

I'm gonna be that guy and bring it up http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/16250949/page/2
I already like this thread way more than the other one
Your fibs popped up much earlier than the small patch I photographed last year, so they might start going soon.
Start checking your areas people

Azure/cyan beds are expanding like crazy now, probably gonna go and visit in the next few hours after I decompress from work, I'll take some pics if they're worthy.
Good to see ya around man. Yea, I was a bit late, but kinda surprised (this is the earliest I'v have ever found fibs). I'm sure they will love OR, no reason not to. I'll be in touch with ya this year, and hope the beds are doing good.

These ones are a bit better

Ok, stick with me now, and try to watch what happens. It took me a second to really see what was going on, but it makes total sense when you think about it.

Yes, that just happened, and yes they have a gold colored striation that twists up the stipe. It even goes counter-clockwise Wonder if it would be the same in the southern hemisphere? The patch was covered with the cup fungi for a while, and some are still nice and soft. Little did I know, the fibs look like they have been growing underneath them for at least a few days. It happened in more than one spot too

Don't know how much I will be posting in this thread, so until next time

Thanks man. I pretty much had to change my pants after I saw that last night. It really is gold colored in person too, almost fluorescent looking. So fucking pumped for the fibs. To my knowledge, this is the very first cultivation of P. cyanofibrillosa, indoor or outdoor

They do look similar, but a close observation and microscopy can tell them apart very fast. Ummmmmm Stuntzii and Semilanceata aren't even in the same section, but I get what you are saying

auweia said: that's great. For me i can see for the first time obvious difference with 'friscosa' and ovoids even in the pin stage
true cyanofobrillosa is indeed different. I do not think we have seen those in the Bay Area yet
I don't think cyanofibs have made it that far. Something tells me that you could probably get away with a personal patch that is taken care of, but I doubt they would spread to the surrounding environment. They're reclusive enough as it is
Quite a strange species, and I'm learning a ton as things progress. Notes need to be updated and microscopy will come once I finally pick that first one. Still waiting a few days, maybe tuesday or wednesday. Fresh prints From what I know about their growth patterns, there might be some epic pictures in about a month. We will see
Hunting in a few hours. This is to the date when I found stuntzii last year, so we will see what happens.

New pins. Funny, in the first picture I only noticed three when taking the photo. If you look close, there are 7 new buddies:
cespitose growth. A slug got the best of one, but I did away with him. No slugs, at least till spores drop
This guy is cool, the little bug is probably tripping ballz. I'll let him have his fun.
Yes, they are potent as fuck

Some species of gyms on the west coast are active, such as luteofolius, aeruginosus, braendlei and viridans. I am not positive about Gymnopilus luteus or Gymnopilus junonius but pretty sure they are not active on this side of the country.

You gotta eat a large amount. Best way is in tea. They are not exactly the same as normal Psilocybe species. All the weird chemicals in them make is a much different trip. I find it better to just photograph them and marvel at their beauty, smear some spores all over my clothing and move on to more prosperous grounds

I look in either fairly old, well maintained grass, or very new sodded areas, particularly those that have had at least one season. More often than not, they are in between the road and a sidewalk in the little grass strip. Not too often in the front yard of people's houses, but it happens. They start following you after a few seasons of finds

Yes, it can and does. Most of the time it shows up, if the rain doesn't wash it away Here is an example of it again.

Have you ever ate P. baeocystis, or P. azurescens? In my experience, libs have nothing on either of those species.
Also, keep the weather and God/ Prayer comments out of the thread. Posts bitching about the weather are breaking rules, and praying has no place in MH&I, unless it's to ancient aliens
Pins just so you all know it's just a matter of getting out and looking, not sittin around
