How long can you keep spawn in the refrigerator?
    #16735913 - 08/21/12 11:07 AM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I was wondering how long spawn can keep if you can lower the temperature enough to hybernate the spawn bags?

The reason why I ask:  I am setting up a room, but I want the spawn ready by the time it's finished.

ive used jars that were months old, not refrigerated, i dont have a specfic answer for you, but i know there life span is in months, not days or years, how long were you planning on keeping the spawn bags in the fridge? make sure your fridge doesnt get to cold

How cold is too cold?

I only ask because one of my bags is a week ahead of the other two. I hear that if I keep them incubating after they're ready, they may start to pin in the bag which is something I want to prevent.

Thanks! Just to be clear, this also refers to spawn bags that have been colonized (fully white)?
