Im buying a new SUV soon and Ive already got a kick ass speaker system in mind...
Since my new truck wont have rear door speakers Im thinking of making a fiberglass thingee to mount my Polk MoMo's up above the rear seats... My MOMO woofers will be part of the system in the rear deck facing the hatch and my amps and crossovers will be placed on a fiberglass tear setup up above the woofers. Then it will all wrap around the rear deck, take up most of the room but It will have a nice look.
Ive seen people make things like this, seen it step by step... Im wondering if anyone here has ideas or links to share to make fiberglass mouldings, especialy finishing mouldings smooth..
I think the most exciting part about buying a new vehicle for me is being able to put a new system into it...
Also been thinking of going MB Quart, N E one have experience with that?

Wear a dust mask at the very least, those resins can really fuck up your lungs..
I've been rolling an idea in my head for a little while, but I dunno if its practical..
I wanna cut the back out of my middle rear seat, and counter sink a 10" sub in the seat, so theres a vacuum between the trunk, and the cabin of the car.. I imagine itd really thump, since the whole car would function as its box... I'd have to install some sort of basskill switch.. incase someone had to sit in that seat. (what do you think..?

I got a 2000 denali, has a touch screen dvd player/cd/playstation. It hooked to 2 750 watt kicker amps runing to 2 sqaure 15's. the box takes up the whole back of the truck and has some nice neons on the back..

From what I hear, fiberglass molding is sort of like a trade. I've seen professionals do it and it still looks like shit every once in a while. I would have it done by a professional or not even bother. Just get a sub-box?
