Some of the best pics are those where insects use your plants as a resting spot. This is the most recent example I can offer up.

This is from last year

Praying mantis's seem to love trichs, I'd never seen one in my backyard until I got my Pedro's, and then the little guys started poppin up all around my cacti >.>

When I get back from Kauai I'll see if I can find my pics of he little guy

I took these last year while checking out a friends garden... I have tried to figure out what kind of spider it is, but I have never been able to call it. They are still cool pics though...

here's a couple praying mantis on my black pearl pepper a couple years back:

and a moth sucking nectar from my L. Sibericus (sp?) aka marijuanilla, cant find it in my pics gallery though i had to goto my flickr for it:

moth photo

and finally an elderbug (i think) on a blade of grass with a 300mm macro lense topped with a 2.5x macro converter, so over 700mm total, and the DOF turned out great:

cool thread . badass pictures too.
Most bugs on my plants don't deserve a pic cuz they destroy them.

I love bees

can you see him hiding?

I love the mantis. don't see too many around here. Mostly see aphids and cucumber beetles.

ferrel_human, that one looks like a wasp - probably one that parasitizes other less desirable garden insects

Here's a picture I took last year.  Misumena vatia, a goldenrod crab spider, that caught a honey bee while hanging out on mint flowers.

Hey! You're right!

Thank's so much for your good eye. I have wondered what that spider was for a long time now. I have showed the photo to many friends, but I have always had to say "I don't know." when the most obvious question was asked.

From the info I have found on him, he seems to be quite the ferocious little predator...

It's no TeeFizzle pic of a moth pic.  That pic is amazing.  It's one of the best , if not the best I've seen here. Only reason I say , If not, is because in the hunting forum there is a Bug on a mushroom thread with some really great pics.
