I killed my CAKES!!!!!!

Last night i put my jars on a heating pad on low and put a blanket between the jars and the actual heating pad. But when i woke up i felt the jars and they weren't extremly hot but a little to hot for the jars the side i left em on turned blue ever so slightly and there was no growth that night at all. The rest of the jars are fine except one have this blueing did i kill em or should i let em keep goin? PLEASE HELP ME IV WORKED TO HARD TO HAVE THESE LOST TO A DAMN HEATING PAD!!!!

First, calm down. My faery godmother did something similar when she left a desk lamp on them for a while, directly shining on them. It made them too hot, and she thinks that she lost some moisture because of this. Perhaprs you did too - the mycelium looked thin and the colour of the vermiculite could be seen through it. But worry not, it will probably survive. It took her jars almost four weeks to colonize because of this, she thinks. Be sure to dunk them before you case or fruit.

Also, if you ever put them on a heating pad again, put a thermometer down instead of the jars and leave it for several hours, checking the temperature. That will help you prevent making this or a similar mistake again.
