People have different theories on that, I'm sure you've got enough fanning going on. I'm less sure about the misting, people often are timid with the mist. Don't be afraid to really wet the cakes down, and the perlite too.

This is what they look like now I have been fanning 3 times a day for like 30 seconds and misting right before. I am getting some white fuzzies but no real pins.

I have been fanning 3 times a day for around 30 seconds with the lid of the tub after I have misted the cakes pretty good. They are in a loft and get light from the window. I think I need to get a light just for them. Do the cakes look normal? Can you fan them too much? I am open to feed back I am new at this. I know I am excited to see pins that is all.

You've just been in fruiting conditions since 8/10? May just take a little more time.
My cakes (2 grows now - so no expert) have taken about 8-9 days to pin after birthing - and I do give them a week after 100% for consolidation.

Are these in a room that is allowing natural air current to enter from the outside? You might still be having a problem with FAE no matter how much you're fanning if these are in an oxygen starved room.
That's what I am gathering from the fuzzy growth. You'll have pins in no time though.

The tub is in a loft that is all open. I have 1/4 inch holes drilled in tub every 2 inches on all six sides and 4 inches of perlite in the bottom of the tub. I know I just need to be patient I just wanted to keep posting pics to make sure everything is ok

Everything is okay but you might consider fanning more than you already are still. I see lots of fuzzy growth and no pins.

can someone post a link to amazon to exactly what light I would need for my tub. I do not think its getting enough light from natural light coming in the window. Getting more white fuzz but still no pins.

I don't know this entire thing about not enough light. mine have been growing fine with just light from the window and not very much at that because it has been overcast although they have grown kinda funny, some growing straight down. From what it looks like you need some more FAE just mist like crazy.

Mist THEN fan like hell to cause evaporation on the surface of the cakes. This triggers pinning.

Looks good so far.
Hey, did your jars get a full week of consolidation after they hit 100% colonization?

I dunno. Looks like you need to mist and fan, but you say it's been long enough. Are they getting light? You aren't growing in a closet are you?
