This little Empusa pennata hit the jackpot when it decided to stay in my greenhouse for the winter. I've been feeding it the occasional fly and this last weekend an unfortunate bottle fly was invited for Fabricius' lunch.

Wonderful! What is it standing on, though?

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree.
'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

That's beautiful. I have watched the red damsels come out of the water and they would mate right away. Facinating. I wish I had a pond now.

Thanks LSoares. I love Cicadas and they have a interesting life cycle spending most of their life underground. It seems to be a bumper year for them
