please id

this mushroom was found in my basment on the cement floor in a cluster that was all conected to gether the room it was in is very dark and damp there are no giles and they sem to be folding up amungst each other again this is growing derectlty on cement no dirt no nothing just damp cement any ideas it smells like musty basment the inside is whight ish or a light colar the out side is light brown
i live in ohio hell if i know what it is lol is it edible i dought its active but is it poisonous thanx anybody for any insight oh and it crumbles very easy when trying to handle it :pill2:

I?d say Peziza species.

I don?t know. The link for the species they describe says "edibility unknown" .

I'd say Anno is right there with Peziza. Species are difficult to get to in that genus and the ones nearby.

I can't see from your photo if they have a stem or not.

None of the Peziza species are recommended for eating. Too many of their close relatives are strongly carcinogenic or contain substances that break down into methyhydrazine, which is a potentially lethal toxin.

thanx again for responding and no there are no stems they just seem to be clustered all together in a bundle like clump growing on the floor it just blows me away that they are growing on concret lol unbalevable heehe lol if ther are steems they would have to be very very short maybe as thick as a dime thanx
