"THE NEW PHONE BOOKS ARE IN! THE NEW PHONE BOOKS ARE IN! IM SOMEBODY NOW!"
Sorry but you have to love The Jerk. Well you can imagin my excitement. Here it is, my new 36" x 24" Flow hood!

Now i just have to build the lab. Hopefully it will be done on monday. I cant wait to fire this bad boy up. I have it covered in cardboard and plastic until its new home is ready.
I also just finished the new 7'x8' fruiting room.

The biggest improvement on the new one is the advanced planning of all the hanging hooks on the ceiling for lights and chains for bags. It was no easy task to put them in on the other FC after it was built.
My construction supervisor.

Nice LFH!
For your overead hanging, first staple up a sheet of white/clear polythene sheeting over the beams, then screw the hooks through a blob of silicone sealant, through the plastic into the wood. No crud behind the beams, no rotting mouldy beams, nowhere for flies to hide, easy to clean.

Holy Shit Chef!!!!
Whats that FC made from?
My dad stopped letting me use his barn cause we had a big argument and I decided not to talk to him until he has figured some of his shit out with his wife..
Meanwhile I have missed the market 2 weeks in a row...
I need to build something like this in my partner's basement.
WhaT DID YOU USE to frame(pvc?) what did you wrap it with to keep humidity in? and how do you humidify and bring in FAE??
Thanks I might capitalize on your idea lol

Ya its 1/2" PVC framing with 1/2" foil backed foam board from home depot. Then held to the frame with gorilla tape. The inside seams are done with foil ducting tape, extreme weather type. I think a few pages back there is a pic of the FAE and humidity set up. Basically drawing and exhausting air from outside through a basement window and some from the house into a humidity tub with a pond fogger.
Just started framing the Clean room this morning. Im getting really anxious to fire up the flow hood and start working! Ill put up some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Yep! That's how I hung my hooks as well. Works great. I also put some 2x4 blocking in between the joists in order to maximize the arrangement of hooks.
Everything's looking damn fine, chef!

LOL, chef has done an amazing job outlining his OP; just read his thread. The fact that i have had a successful mush farm for over 2 years now just proves that any idiot can do it. Its just whether or not the universal powers that be would like to give you a gift that keeps on giving; if you treat it that way.

Cool where at in WI?
I also have a mushroom farm here, and am native to the state. We just started this last February though!! Things couldn't be better people here really love mushrooms but seem to know very little about them or all the varieties that are out there!!
