SW Fl. id request; possible Reishi?

I found this growing off of a tall Palm tree in SW Florida, right next to a public park. It has been extremely hot lately, mid 90s at least each day. I think the pics show the mushroom in question well, darker brownish on top, graduating to a lighter cream color on the sides and underneath. No gills, smooth all over. I estimate the size at approx. 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall. What made me sad was seeing the other, same mushrooms that had been knocked off the tree and laying on the ground (most likely from kids at the playground). The last picture I posted here shows the mushrooms that had been knocked off the tree. : ( The Reishis I found in the past were darker overall. Any help IDing these is greatly appreciated in advance. When I looked around this park I found many more of the same type growing off the numerous palm trees on the scene.

Not reishi. This is a different polypore. Not sure which one.

Kuo
Ecology: Saprobic on the dead wood of conifers and sometimes hardwoods (including birch and aspen); also sometimes parasitic on living trees; causing a brown cubical rot; growing alone or gregariously; perennial; fairly widely distributed in North America where conifers are present, but apparently rare to absent in the southeastern United States.
i don't see why this couldn't happen on palm.
i mean, it doesn't look typical...but it looks pretty close, i think.

Actually we all agree that it kinda looks like Fomitopsis pinicola but probably isn't.

Yea, first thing I thought, but then I realized the habitat and location.
