Habitat: Found in the woods nearby my house growin on soil.
Gills:are darker than in the picture. The gills are closest to a milkchocolate brown. The gills do not look like theyre attached to the stem (I'm trying my best as with all new hunters will, and yes I have read a bit and will be continuing to read more.)
Stem: It's about 1.5 inches, yellowish white on the bottom and light brownish on top. Not thick nor thin.
Cap: Feels a bit velvet-y? diameter about 2 inches.
Spore print color: Will be doing my first spore print soon.
Bruising: How do I go about brusing it? Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: It was growing on dirt..I went out yesterday just for a look for about an hour and a half. Today I went back to see if there was any progress on the mycelium found yesterday, no there wasn't but I found a larger patch of mycelium and this guy was found nearby. (All in the woods)
Remember these images are a little lighter than the actual mush.
Anyquestions? And thank you for the help!

Some additional info would be helpful, such as size and coloration of the caps. Pictures, of course, would help a bunch. You can upload them here on the shroomery (http://www.shroomery.org/forums/upload.php?action=upload), or you can upload them to a site like photobucket.

Ah, there they are. Uhm, looks a bit agaricus-like. Let's see how that spore print turns out.

ooo Thanks everyone for helping! I've been lookin around and I think it could be inocybe too. The cap has a fibrous texture to it, like it has hair imprinted on the cap. Let me know what you think, and I have a question, if it is edible, will i be able to eat it after i do a spore print... probably right?

no. do not eat. it is most likely an Agaricus. there are some species that are edible and some that are not. if it was an Inocybe, you would definitely not want to eat it. what does it smell like?

This is not an Inocybe. This has free gills and most Inocybe have adnexed to adnate gills.

A. arvensis (clearly not this mushroom) has a slight phenolic smell along with its typical mushroom-iness and is deliciously edible. Could be a similar kind of smell?

could be i guess... i'm not going to tell him to eat it though. if i don't have the Agaricus in hand i usually don't recommend eating them... just because everything can be so objective, especially to newcomers.
