 NuB thinking outloud...is this ok?

a foaf and his pet toad are thinking bout growing...theyre gonna use birdseed and soak it for 12hrs then put in 1/2pt canning jars(with polyfil, coffee filters, and alum foil over) then pressure cook. when theyre done they will innoculate the seed thru the polyfil, then shake to spread the spores around. after they wait till the shits white...theyll crumble cakes over a recipe to be determined later...thinking coco coir, and peat moss. then theyll hook up thier ultrasonic humidifier to the rubbermaid shoeholder lookin thing for flush time.
does it sound like theyll succeede?
obviously theres more to it than just this...will be using the oven tek for most stuff and common sterility measures.
looking if its ok for birdseed/no vermiculite in canning jars then shaken then put with coco coir.
theyll be using a easy fruiting strain of cubs. gulf coast, ecuador something like that.

after u soak, make sure u drain you birdseed WELL, like really really well.... (search for 6t WBS tek then follow.... its quite easy and effective)
tyvek is easier and cheaper to get than polyfill and it works better.... (just go to the post office for the free stuff)
i wouldnt even bother with 1/2 pint jars.. if your gonna do WBS then use quart jars... less work, more substrate....
and finally i wouldnt trust the oven tek... some studies have shown that it doesnt really work... personally ive never used it, so i cant say..
if u spend an extra 10$ and build a cheap rubbermaid glovebox u can be 100% sure that u wont get any contams... no need for fans or anything, just a simple box with holes cut out and dishwashing gloves, then u lysol the shit out of the box and everything that goes into it.....
just make sure u DONT flame sterlize your needle... *boom*
if u use a glovebox you can just crack the top of the jars and inject the spores that way....

why is polyfil bad?

this bit is wrong. when they're all white, you can either 'case' them directly (read up on casing) with the stuff you mention, or even better spawn (mix) into pasteurised 'bulk' (like straw, poo.)

how cleen do they need to be since theyre PCing and casing? theyve heard mixed advice.
