pressure cookin concern
    #1664384 - 06/26/03 02:08 PM (14 years, 1 day ago)

my chicken is pressure cooking cracked corn jars. . . all different sizes . .. and ther'es a concern with maybe water getting inside or something. . . should the color of the corn be pretty dark . .. or is that possibly water that got in there somehow? or maybe cooked too long? that possible. . . if someone could quell my chickens worries, i'd be eternally grateful. thanks he's such a good little chicken.

Most substrates will darken some, but if it is too dark, your temperature may have been too high. Does it smell burned?

When pressure cooking, set your temperature to it's highest setting until pressure is released. Then, lower the temperature as low as possible while still maintaining the desired presure.

Thanks so much for the marriage proposal, but I'm too young and too selfish to date or marry right now.

time to give it another whirl.
Don't feel bad. Without experience, we learn very little, so you're not going away with nothing.
