Yesterday?s hunt
    #1664273 - 06/26/03 01:18 PM (14 years, 6 months ago)

Just some edibles.

Top, from left to right:
Xerocomus chrysenteron, Xerocomus rubellus(the one red capped specimen), Chanterelus cibarius, Kuehneromyces mutabilis(it has a poisonous lookalike, Galerina marginata)
Bottom:

Russula, probably R.ionochlora(Not Russula cyanoxantha), Boletus aestivalis(Could be also B. pinophilus, not sure)

A detail of Kuehneromyces mutabilis:

Nice stuff.

Your photo of Kuehneromyces mutabilis is excellent, showing the important details to distinguish it from Galerina marginata. (For those wondering, one of the biggies is the striate stem above the ring, and dark scales below). Those look a bit older than my books recommend, but I haven't found them yet, even though they have been found here.

You're in for some nice meals.

Happy mushrooming!

The small orange mushrooms. They are small and few, true.
See them now?

>Kuehneromyces mutabilis

I consulted several books and took a very careful look on the descriptions  before I was sure it?s not a Galerina.
Btw, the mushroom soup was most excellent and I?m still alive

Nice finds Anno!

Here are some Galerina autumnalis that were found at The Gathering.

A perfect example why one should not eat mushrooms unless they are 100% positive of the ID.
