I like to eat breakfast alone, and almost never before noon; anybody with a terminally jangled lifestyle needs at least one psychic anchor every twenty-four hours, and mine is breakfast. In Hong Kong, Dallas or at home — and regardless of whether or not I have been to bed — breakfast is a personal ritual that can only be properly observed alone, and in a spirit of genuine excess. The food factor should always be massive: four Bloody Marys, two grapefruits, a pot of coffee, Rangoon crepes, a half-pound of either sausage, bacon, or corned beef hash with diced chiles, a Spanish omelette or eggs Benedict, a quart of milk, a chopped lemon for random seasoning, and something like a slice of Key lime pie, two margaritas, and six lines of the best cocaine for dessert... Right, and there should also be two or three newspapers, all mail and messages, a telephone, a notebook for planning the next twenty-four hours and at least one source of good music… All of which should be dealt with outside, in the warmth of a hot sun, and preferably stone naked."
Hunter S Thompson
I like cocaine, though I would go crazy if I took it in the morning.
Awesome quote. Do you know what it's from? I have read a lot of Thompson's work but don't remember reading that.

Apparently it was published in Lapham's Quarterly.

I personally couldn't stand the feeling of being mentally and physically exhausted after, but still all wound up and unable to sleep. Not to mention the havoc it plays on your sinuses.
Its such a shitty drug that you almost have to mix it with alcohol to have any kind of "fun" with it. The little fun isnt worth it to me, it makes you feel like complete garbage.
Agreed, cocaethylene is where it's at. Coke by itself blows (punlawl)
As for its short duration, just buy a lot?

Cocaine is awesome, don't listen to the voice in your head that says it's not. You know better than that.
Seriously though, a key bump of cocaine first thing in the morning is a great ADHD fix... just don't forget to eat an actual breakfast.

I don't think I've had it in a couple years. It doesn't come around the "yay area" too often, at least not in my usual circles. But I don't go out looking for it, either. It comes to me, or no dice. There are less fun but far more useful stimulants available.
It's gotta be with the right people, too. I turn into a giant asshole on coke. Last time I did it, I had it with some MDMA with a friend who didn't want any of my coke. For me, the ambitious cocaine spirit predominated over the lovey-dovey hippie spirit of the MDMA and I basically just shat all over his roll.

So far, my plan is this:
I got a hotel room for after party so I'm probably going to roll at the rave, meet a few cute girls who wanna get faded and then get back to the hotel for after party and have alcohol and waiting
