Here's all the info I can think of off the top of my head... will get more detailed tomorrow...
Region: Lake Tahoe, CA (Elevation 6000 ft, cold winters w/ snow, foresty, mountains).
Location Found: All grouped very very closely in a dense patch around a pine tree (evergreen). Shady all day.
Height: All were about 3-4 inches tall. I assume that they are mature at this height as there are some that are begining to rot, and new ones growing further down in the patch (and none were any taller than 4 inches).
Cap Diameter: All about 2 inches.
Cap Deatils: All caps were perfectly circular. All caps were about a quarter inch tall. The color is Tanish/Brownish. The caps had gills (sorry, that's all I know for sure right now). Concave... not sure if even the oldest mushies were convex... can't remember.
Stem: About a quarter inch thick (or less). White.
Print: I didn't take one, but the older mushies droped their spores one night (I've been going back and looking daily)... The color seems purpleish/blackish (kinda bluish perhaps... the color is the same as Golden Teacher spores). I'll take a print tomorrow if this isn't enough information or is inconclusive.
Sorry bout' no pics... Anyways- can anyone make a guess?
