IF THE RUMORS ARE TRUE?
What, you mean, like "more potent?" Believe it. Have had them over twice as potent as regular cubes. Visited catatonia once during a re-up that, well, I probably shouldn't have tried.

I have questions on how to fruit azures.
Azures are wood lovers and they also SFAIK will require lower temps to initiate fruiting. For some species like that you can continue fruiting at normal room temps though. I've fruited Ps. cyanescens (a close relative) successfully in a spare fridge that I wired some full spectrum lights into, at around 55F.

Any chance you did a write up or have pics of that grow? Links? Sounds like good reading to me, not many people have pulled that feat off.

It was a long time ago. Yes I have pics, but they're all on slides...somewhere.
I'll describe it though - picture a tray of mostly woodchips, with tiny little pinheads forming, then growing into typical Ps. cyan fruits (about 2" tall) over the course of a couple weeks. Slower than hell, more potent than god, all good. Got those spores from Homestead Publishing in Seattle - that's how long ago it was!

The fridge was kept at a steady 55 degrees then? No temperature fluctuations? Did you sterilize/pasteurized/leave as found with the wood chips? 12/12 with the light cycle? I'll assume a typical misting/FAE schedule.

It was about the highest temp I could get it to stay at...
It was all sterile culture, although I tried pasteurizing wood chips they tended to contam out. And yeah I think it was 12/12 with a small gro lite in the fridge. I kept the humidity up with normal methods. This stuff is hard on a fridge, BTW, and you need one that doesn't defrost for it to work.
But it wouldn't be too hard to build a proper enviro chamber for woodlovers, I think, and sometimes I even plan such a thing.

Hi im about to attempt a new project (2nd time grow)
my first time was with golden teachers
it was a successful grow but they were not that magical
i tripped off of 40 grams "fresh obviously"
then i gave 100 grams to a friend to try them out
he split the 100 grams with a buddy and called me the next day saying that the shrooms sucked and didn't do anything
for my next attempt i was thinking about trying "Penis Envy"
i read that these are very good strain
i'm going to order some spores from sporeworks
i want the best of the best...
any tips on what that may be?

MS is a crap shoot, everytime. As has been pointed out often.
One strain or another of "standard" cubes is going to vary unless you isolate strains.
PE seems to me to be something different than a "standard" cube, though genetically it's close enough to cross successfully (for some people anyway ).
And PE can be wicked potent IME, like Ps. cyanescens. YMMV may vary of course but if you reach for the top of the heap at least even a partial win could outperform the standard. Not really any harder to grow, but you need good source. I had no success from the odd PE print (hard to come by as well) and it took a syringe from nameless sponsor to get to the tray you see in my sig. Well worth it, too.

PE pumps out more fruits than PEU in my experience. Both are normally potent.

Hey guys, I'm a newb and just started my first grow last week with some GT and Z-strain, BRF-style. I figured I might as well start growing some more right away, and wanna diversify. Any suggestions for what would be a logical addition to my grow, considering that I'm new? I know cubes are cubes, but people definitely seem to have their preferences. Anyways, any ideas would be appreciated

Just pick one that appeals to you. Either because of it's name or history or maybe because you saw a cool growlog someone did.
There are several million different combinations in each spore print/syringe so you never know what you'll get.
